Rainbow Trust

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides emotional and practical support for families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. This Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For-Profit organisation is looking to appoint a Database Officer to take primary responsibility for the management of the Fundraising database thankQ.

This is an exciting time for an experienced and accurate database professional to join Rainbow Trust as we are an ambitious charity with a clear vision for growth and a strong sense of values. Your structured and methodical approach to achieving goals by working patiently within established guidelines will be recognised in our high-performing organisation. Working within the Individual Giving team, you will be the main point of contact for the Fundraising teams and play a critical part in enhancing supporter experience through information analysis and providing recommendations for fundraising growth.

You enjoy acquiring technical knowledge which you will pass on to colleagues by providing support and training to ensure the database is used in the most effective way. Working closely with teams across the organisation, you will be a supportive team member who enjoys producing high quality, error-free work. Your demonstrable experience developing a CRM/SRM system, whilst managing the day to day operations of the database will enable you to ensure that relevant information is integrated with thankQ.

Precise and consistent, you will thrive delivering on-time projects by completing milestones in an orderly and organised manner. Being formally collaborative and having worked in an internal customer facing role within an SME, you will understand that responding effectively and promptly to database enquiries and requests received from internal customers is essential. Your technical knowledge of SQL and MSOffice means you are fully competent using Excel and reporting tools to manage effective data segmentation and financial reconciliation.

Comfortable taking the lead on accurate, quality work output, you can demonstrate your in-depth knowledge of the processes involved in CRM/SRM systems and relevant Charity and Data Protection legislation. Applications will be particularly welcome from those who have experience with thankQ. Educated to at least degree-level (or professional equivalent) you will build expertise through a commitment to your continuing professional development.
