Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity is at the start of a new project to relocate our Head Office. The current office supports around 55 employees and we are looking for a new location within the Leatherhead area that will support the charity for the foreseeable future.

This is a varied internship which will include participation in project management, planning, IT support, and office administration, supporting the Facilities & IT Manager and Project Manager on the relocation project, as well as other ongoing projects.

Main Activities:

  • Assisting the Project Manager (PM) and Team Managers in the maintenance of project plans
  • Maintaining project documentation including project plan, risk and issue registers, budget monitoring
  • Assisting with matching potential offices to requirements and viewing proposed new offices
  • Working with PM and Property Consultant on costs against budget for potential offices
  • Communicating with project team on various aspects of the project
  • Attending and contributing to project team meetings
  • Assisting with the production of project related reports
  • Issuing action points from project meeting to attendees
  • Assisting in the development of office (floor plan) design
  • Assisting in IT and infrastructure move planning
  • Visiting new office site to check on progress
  • Producing draft project update reports
  • Providing ad-hoc administration support as required

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of project management methodology (PRINCE2)
  • Basic IT network/ system knowledge
  • Good team player; the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confidence to speak to internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Happy, ‘can-do’ approach to work
