Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity is looking to appoint a Regional Fundraiser (Part Time) to work collaboratively with the Fundraising Assistant and Regional Fundraising Manager to achieve targets and objectives within the south-east counties including Surrey, Essex, Kent & Sussex.
This is an exciting time for a big picture thinker and experienced fundraiser to join Rainbow Trust as we are an ambitious charity with a clear vision for growth and a strong sense of values. Reporting to the Regional Fundraising Manager, you will be working proactively across the region with community groups (i.e. educational establishments, Rotary groups, schools Cubs/Brownies) volunteer fundraisers and local companies.
Naturally engaging the commitment of others, you will retain, motivate and develop volunteers and third parties to contribute to the income of the charity and raise local profile. A compelling public speaker, you will be a persuasive and motivational communicator who stimulates others into action. An enthusiastic networker you will use your knowledge of the principles that underpin good customer care to not only maintain current income levels, but to build upon them year-on-year.
Practical and outgoing, you will thrive working independently and taking ownership of delivering something new. An influential negotiator, with new business experience, you are confident in the application of charity law as it applies to regional fundraising. Having demonstrable success in meeting income and expenditure targets you understand the importance of researching before making an approach and know when to make the fundraising ‘ask’. You enjoy being recognised for achieving results through people and are an effective delegator, following up on timeliness and quality.
You appreciate, through your knowledge of managing successful events, that building rapport and developing relationships with others is essential. Applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a hands-on environment and who have managed volunteers/interns. Educated to at least degree level (preferably with an IoF qualification), your clear, creative writing technique and confident use of MSOffice and experience of using a CRM database will support your innovative and creative working style.
To apply please send your CV and a covering letter highlighting why your application should be considered above others to email@example.com
Interviews will take place at our head office in Leatherhead on 28 November 2017, with second interviews likely to be on 1 December 2017. We will only contact those applicants who have been successful. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this post.
