Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity enables families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness to make the most of time together, providing expert, practical and emotional support, where they need it for as long as it is needed. This Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For-Profit organisation is looking to appoint a Regional Fundraising Manager to deliver and develop the Regional Fundraising strategy.

This is an exciting time for an experienced Regional/Area Community Fundraising Manager, to join Rainbow Trust for a fixed term maternity contract. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, you will take responsibility for delivering and growing the Regional team’s income targets in designated areas.

Key responsibilities:

  • £1 million income and expenditure budgets (including retail)
  • Line manage a team of five
  • Fundraising responsibility for assigned region
  • Income reporting and pipeline
  • Maintaining and developing new relationships to generate income
  • Ensure the regional fundraising team is implementing annual fundraising plan and adhere to IOF codes of practice
  • Delivering a ‘volunteer led, staff enabled’ fundraising strategy across all income streams.

You will be comfortable delegating with careful and helpful follow-up. Utilising the fundraising database to its full potential, you will interpret management information to report regularly against KPIs and develop a stable pipeline of potential prospects.

Comfortable with a fast-paced, changing and pressured environment, you will thrive controlling multiple projects simultaneously. Through holding responsibility for project budgeting and monitoring you can demonstrate your success of driving income and delivering growth targets.

You understand, through your knowledge of the principles that underpin good customer care, that being a poised, convincing and inspiring communicator is essential. Applications will be particularly welcome from those who have previous experience developing strategy and business planning.

Educated to degree level (and preferably with an IoF qualification) your strong networking and negotiation skills and sense of urgency will support your timely and motivational working style.

There will be a requirement for travel and flexible working to support evening and weekend events.
