Find out more“I cannot endorse Rainbow Trust enough; they are an exceptional Children’s Charity providing timely practical and emotional support to families; giving careful consideration to each family member and their specific needs. I have been amazed at the positive impact the charity has on families to enable them to remain exactly that; a family. Rainbow Trust takes families by the hand and walks by their side on the most difficult of paths”.
Prof John-Paul Kilday, Consultant in Paediatric Neuro-oncology, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
“My family is one of so many who have benefitted from the help of Rainbow Trust. Our Family Support Worker was with us through our son’s cancer treatment, his death and afterward. Fiona helped us, held us, and took exquisite loving care of our son. She was there and she made our lives better.”
Rob, Dad to Henry who was diagnosed with a brain tumour, aged one
We will work with you to understand how and when you would like to hear from Rainbow Trust. You may like to meet us face to face, online or receive regular updates on how your funding makes a difference.
The support that Rainbow Trust provides makes a significant difference to the wellbeing and quality of life of children and families and can prevent avoidable crisis situations. In 2021-22, we estimated that we saved the health and social care system in England over £6 million. Despite this, we receive very little statutory funding.
We are proud that 78p in every £1 donated is spent directly on care for children and families, the rest is spent on development.
The James Tudor Foundation has supported Rainbow Trust for many years now, giving a first grant back in 2006. Over this time, we have seen how important the work of Rainbow Trust is for families of children with life-threatening illnesses; the impact of finding out your child has a life-threatening or terminal illness is huge and affects the whole family. The support that Rainbow Trust provides at this difficult time is invaluable, and we have always been impressed by the commitment and dedication of their Family Support Workers, who often go above and beyond in their efforts to support the whole family.
