As a Team Administrator, you will provide administrative support to your local Family Support Team, enabling them to spend more time with the families we support.
Your role may include:
• Carrying out general administrative tasks
• Taking and circulating team meeting minutes
• Collating information/assessment packs
• Preparing packs for training
• Producing promotional materials
• Answering telephone enquiries
• Completing family applications for equipment or additional resources
What we’re looking for:
• Experience of working in an office in an administrative role
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and willingness to learn our
in-house database
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Experience of interacting with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
• Ability to empathise with families in stressful circumstances
• An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality
• Flexible approach with the ability to work on own initiative and as part
of a team
Your commitment:
• We are looking for support on a weekly basis, on a weekday during daytime hours; times and days can be agreed between the volunteer and Family Support Manager
• To enable you to get the most out of your volunteer role, we are looking for volunteers who are available to volunteer for the next 12 months
Training and Support:
• A dedicated member of Rainbow Trust staff will guide and support you
in your work
• You will receive a full induction to the charity and a programme of training relevant to your role, to help you get the most from your time with us
• Training will cover areas such as safeguarding, active listening skills,
bereavement, health and safety, confidentiality and GDPR
• Further modules will be available for you if you would like to develop
your knowledge
• All care volunteers will receive regular one to one support and more formal supervision sessions
