We are looking for a volunteer in the PR Team to support the Marketing & Communications Manager researching, contacting, booking and record keeping celebrity activity to support with the important work of raising the profile of Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.
Your role may include:
- Supporting the team in researching and identifying possible celebrity supporters
- Contacting celebrities and agents and maintaining ongoing relationships
- Communicating with celebrities regarding events and campaigns and general charity news
- Documenting research activity by adding and managing information to the database and checking accuracy
- Tracking existing celebrity supporter activity
- Providing ad-hoc administration support
What we’re looking for:
- Understanding of the celebrity and entertainment environment and how agents and celebrities interact with charities
- Experience in media relations, preferably connected to celebrity management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to details
- Competent PC user- Microsoft office and social media
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and a “can do” attitude.

We are based in Leatherhead
Your commitment:
- We ask that you commit to 1 day per week (Flexible options available)
- We ask all volunteers to promote and adhere to all Rainbow Trust policies and procedures as relevant to their role
- Be responsible and accountable for the use of charitable resources
- Undertake training as required
- Cessation of Role – Although there is no obligation for you to give us notice of your intention to stop volunteering for Rainbow Trust, it would be appreciated if you could give us as much notice as possible, as this will enable us to find a replacement volunteer

- A dedicated member of Rainbow Trust staff will guide and support you in your work, plus you will receive supporting materials and a full induction to the charity and specific training where appropriate to help you get the most from your role.
