Your role may include:

  • Communicating with fundraisers via email and telephone, supporting them on their fundraising journey, wishing them luck for their event and thanking them
  • Following up on leads generated by external platforms of people interested in a challenge for Rainbow Trust
  • Tracking supporters fundraising targets
  • Analysing data and running reports, providing data analysis for the team
  • Providing general administrative support to the team, including data entry
  • Writing volunteer briefs for events
  • Scoping out new events that Rainbow Trust could partner with
  • Scoping out marketing opportunities for the events in the portfolio
  • Attending events to support the team where you can

What we’re looking for:

  • A confident user of Microsoft Office, databases and IT equipment
  • Confident on the phone
  • Happy to work independently and as part of the wider team
  • A methodical approach to tasks with great attention to detail.
  • An awareness of GDPR (full training will be given).

Your commitment:

  • We are looking for support weekly or bi-weekly on weekday during daytime hours; times and days will be agreed between the volunteer and Sports and Events Fundraiser
  • To enable you to get the most out of your volunteer role, we are looking for volunteers who are available to volunteer for the next 12 months

Training and Support

  • A dedicated member of Rainbow Trust staff will guide and support you in your work
  • You will receive a full induction to the charity and a programme of training relevant to your role, to help you get the most from your time with us
  • Training will cover areas such as safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and GDPR, as well as our IT systems
  • All volunteers will receive regular opportunities for informal and formal catch ups with their manager
