About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Volunteer Manager to lead the development and delivery of the Rainbow Trust Volunteer Programme, playing a pivotal role in raising the profile of Rainbow Trust by acting as an ambassador for the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of HR & Volunteering, the Volunteer Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the Volunteer Programme including developing and leading the Volunteer Strategy in line with wider organizational goals, managing the volunteering budget, as well as recruitment, induction, training, support and volunteer engagement and retention.
The Volunteer Manager will work closely with all our internal departments and external volunteer networks, acting as the first point of reference on volunteering process and policy across the organisation.

- A multi-tasker with a sense of urgency for goal achievement – you delegate effectively with thorough follow-up, and are quick to learn and adapt
- An innovative, practical and creative problem-solver – you are a big picture thinker that responds quickly to varied activities and changing conditions
- Professional experience of working in a volunteer management capacity – with experience of developing policy and collaborative working.
