Outdoor play equipment specialists, Plum Play, are generously sponsoring our craft tent at CarFest for the second year running.
We spoke to them about their products and their motivation behind choosing to support Rainbow Trust.

Why did you choose to support Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity?
As a children’s toy brand, we think it is incredibly important for us to be involved with a children’s charity. We have chosen to partner with Rainbow Trust as they have an extremely important purpose, and we admire their incredible support for families who have a child aged 0-18 years with a life-threatening or terminal illness. We have been in partnership with Rainbow Trust for over two years and we are truly dedicated to their cause.
Could you describe how you are supporting Rainbow Trust at CarFest 2021?
We have supported Rainbow Trust with a craft tent for both the North and South events at CarFest 2021. We helped to decorate the tent with Plum Play bunting, table cloths and donated two Plum Discovery Create and Paint Easels to be used during the weekends, and one for a raffle prize.
At CarFest North we welcomed lots of families to the craft tent, where we offered 'make your own' festival crowns, superhero masks and rainbow wands. The tent was bursting with creativity. We also provided tote bags, postcards and frisbees for the children to take home with their crafts.
What would you say to other businesses or organisations thinking about supporting a charity through their products or work?
We think it is incredibly important for a business or organisation to support a charity. It makes a positive impact to the charity’s cause. By supporting charities, you are actively helping people, organisations and communities.
What is your favourite playground activity toy and why?
We have a lot of fantastic and complementary items. A trampoline - in terms of space and the ability to burn off energy - is a brilliant toy for children. It was especially helpful to children during lockdown as sport clubs and activities all closed down.
