We are delighted to announce that Fawkes & Reece has chosen Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity as their first ever Charity Partner!
Committed to making a real difference to families caring for a seriously ill child, conversations started around how they could bring a bit of fun into the lives of some of the families that Rainbow Trust supports by funding a family away day. From there we quickly realised that with offices spread across England this Specialist Recruiter for the Built Environment covers numerous locations that have significant overlap with Rainbow Trust’s local care team hubs and a wider partnership just made sense! With support from Rainbow Trust, Fawkes & Reece already have a 12-month plan to support Rainbow Trust combining volunteering and fundraising for maximum impact.
Partnerships like these are particularly valuable during these challenging times when families with a child with a life-threatening or terminal condition are being disproportionally impacted by the cost-of-living crisis. Many families have little room to make domestic cutbacks due to the high spending required to run specialist medical equipment, the cost of frequent transport for hospital visits and increased general costs at home.
Gareth Richardson, Head of Client Solutions at Fawkes & Reece, said:
“We are delighted to announce the launch of our first-ever charity partnership with the Rainbow Trust, a charity that holds a profound personal significance for me and resonates with every member of our business on various levels. As someone who experienced illness during childhood, I understand firsthand the challenges faced by families and individuals during such difficult times. The work that the Rainbow Trust does to provide vital support and care is truly remarkable.
“This partnership not only represents our commitment to giving back to the community but also our passion for supporting causes that make a real difference in people's lives. We are excited to witness the growth of this partnership and to see what 2024 has in store. Together, we aim to create positive change and provide hope and support to those who need it most.”
Katherine Burgess, Corporate & Community Fundraising Manager, said:
“It’s so exciting to see a partnership grow out of such a lovely initial idea. After just a couple of short meetings, plans have fallen into place and it’s great to see how genuinely excited the team are to get stuck in. Rainbow Trust wouldn’t be able to provide the emotional and practical support families so desperately need without the generous efforts from businesses within our local communities, so a huge thank you to Fawkes and Reece for their dedication to Rainbow Trust. Bring on the year ahead!”
