We’re immensely proud to have been one of the chosen charities for ICAP Charity Day 2018!
ICAP Charity Day is a momentous event in any charity’s calendar and a day that we are privileged to have been part of this year. Giving away one day’s revenue and commissions to charities across the world really does make a huge difference.
ICAP’s help means we can fund a Neonatal Support Worker for 18 months and support up to 35 families in crisis. The emotional impact of having a baby in intensive care can be devastating for parents so having the help of an expert, independent Neonatal Family Support Worker is invaluable. So, thank you ICAP, without companies like you we simply couldn’t provide quality support for families facing the unimaginable.
The Day Itself
What a day it was! We had incredible support from patrons and celebrities proudly supporting Rainbow Trust. Annabel Croft (former professional British no.1 tennis player, turned TV/Radio presenter) and Sue Cook (presenter and author) are both patrons and long-term supporters of Rainbow Trust - both got involved in all things ICAP. They dared the Lego Walk, tried their hands at trading and met employees in fancy dress! Nell McAndrew (former model and amateur athlete), Laura Crane (model, professional surfer and 2018 Love Island contestant), Bianca Gascoigne (glamour model and TV personality) and Dean Gaffney (actor, known for his role in EastEnders) also got swept up in the all the fun and action of ICAP Charity Day, all in support for seriously ill children and their families.
A big shout out to all those who got involved for Rainbow Trust: TV doctor and presenter, Dr Hilary Jones, Made in Chelsea’s Josh Patterson, infamous TV personality Keith Lemon, TV reality star Vicky Pattison, former Chelsea and Leeds striker, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and former England and Manchester United player, Viv Anderson.
We received incredibly generous support from individuals and companies who donated their time and items to make the day really special and helped Rainbow Trust stand out. A huge thank you to:
- A Secret Hero for donating the Lego Walk
- UK Garrison for taking the whole of ICAP by storm with the fabulous stormtroopers (excuse the pun!)
- Momentous Photobooth for the extremely popular gif photobooth
- The incredible powerhouse acapella group that is The Rolling Stones.
Thank you also to all those involved in making ICAP Charity Day a huge success, we are all so grateful at Rainbow Trust for all of your amazing support!
