This week is National Volunteers’ Week, a chance for everyone at Rainbow Trust to say a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers, past and present. Whether you support us in our retail shops in Leatherhead, Cheam or Essex, in one of our offices, out in the community, at events, driving or working alongside our care teams, you all enable us to do so much more than would otherwise be possible and have helped to make a real difference to the lives of the families we support.
We currently have 380 amazing volunteers who have given an incredible 31,000 hours of their time which has helped us to extend our reach and support even more families with a seriously ill child. So a huge thank you from everyone at Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity!
There are many ways you can join in and get involved this volunteers’ week. We would love to hear all about why you volunteer for Rainbow Trust. Whether it’s to build new skills, meet new people or to help make a real difference, let us know by using the hashtag #ivolunteer and tell us just what inspired you to give up some of your free time. Click here to download the #ivolunteer poster and snap a picture to share with us on Facebook or Twitter. Don’t forget to tag @RainbowTrustCC too!
“Volunteering at Rainbow Trust gives you the flexibility to work around your busy lifestyle. There’s no limit to the amount of time you give us. Whether or not it’s something you’ve thought about before, volunteering is a great way to learn essential skills while making a difference in the community” Andrea Kelley, Volunteer Development Manager at Rainbow Trust
If you know someone who would like to get involved or you would like to find out about ways you can volunteer with us, get in touch with Andrea or visit our volunteering section for our current opportunities.
