Leading investment management firm, Invesco, chooses Rainbow Trust as their new charity partner
We are delighted to announce that following an employee nomination, pitch and voting process, Rainbow Trust will be welcomed back as Invesco’s charity partner for the next two years.
Invesco has an extremely impressive record of supporting charities and raised over £70,000 for Rainbow Trust back in 2016. This time, over a two-year partnership the firm aims to raise £200,000 for Rainbow Trust, funding two Family Support Workers: one from our newly established Reading Care team and one from the London and South East Care Team.
Claire Myers, Head of CSR and Sponsorships said:
“Having partnered with Rainbow Trust back in 2016 it’s clear that our staff felt the time was right to work with this wonderful charity again, that does so much to support families in their time of need. We’re really looking forward to working with the team to raise as much as possible over the next two years.”
The partnership will officially launch in January, but Invesco has already donated a whopping £30,000, which is enough to fund 1,000 hours of emotional and practical support for families affected by serious childhood illness.
Zillah Bingley, Chief Executive, said:
“Rainbow Trust relies on support from businesses operating in the communities we work in, and we are so grateful to the employees at Invesco for voting for us. We are excited to meet and work with the Invesco Cares Charity Committee to plan some exciting fundraising and volunteering events. Most importantly, I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together to help ensure families caring for a seriously ill child can continue to receive the crucial support they so desperately need. Thank you, Invesco!”
Rainbow Trust would not be able to continue supporting families who have a child with a terminal or life-threatening illness without the incredible support of corporate partners. Right now, families we support are being disproportionally affected by the cost-of-living crisis, facing ever-increasing prices such as paying to power life-saving medical equipment or frequent travel to hospital.
We are incredibly grateful to be partnering with Invesco. It will help to ensure families do not face serious childhood illness alone.
