My husband and I have been supporting Rainbow Trust for five years now. It is an amazing cause and we have seen the good it has done and the happiness and relief it can bring to families. We have visited Family Support Workers meetings and seen how essential and life changing Rainbow Trust’s support can be.
Over the past few years I have put on several charity events, but I wanted to do something different , something more sustainable that would bring in a constant flow of money for Rainbow Trust. I also wanted to increase awareness of the extraordinary work they do, and at the same time bring a community together and help local businesses.
Since living in North Hampshire, so many people have been so kind and welcoming, suggesting wonderful little places to go and see, local services, restaurants to try, shops to visit. I have always been so grateful for this and I just thought these recommendations should be shared! Many of my friends and neighbours have lots of local favourites, so I thought let’s collate all these and make a beautiful little book. This is how ‘North Hampshire’s Little Gems’ was created.
We have had such a great response to the book and I am looking forward to the Christmas Fairs where we hope to sell the book for the perfect ‘local’ Christmas gift. I really hope that people buy the book, and at the same time as discovering some new lovely places North Hampshire has to offer, help to raise money for an absolutely crucial and incredible charity. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive and helped us raise money through this project so far.
If you would like to buy the book you can do so here. All the books proceeds go to Rainbow Trust.
