Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity is sad to learn of the passing of George Michael over the weekend.
Emma Haines, from Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity said;
‘We are so saddened by the loss of George Michael. Along with another charity, we were very grateful to benefit from the royalties of George’s 1991 duet with Elton John, Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me. George later became a patron of Rainbow Trust (1997-1998) and launched our 2007 fundraising appeal. His support has always meant a lot to the charity and his contribution helped children with a life threatening or terminal illness and their families. He will be greatly missed.’
“I can only imagine the immense loss of a child, and the value of an organisation which can help those left behind to come to terms with their loss cannot be measured. I am truly proud to be a patron and Rainbow Trust can count on my continued support.” George Michael 1997
