Rainbow Trust welcomes the new NICE guidelines for adult end of life care issued today. Anne Harris, Director of Care for Rainbow Trust said:

“Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity welcomes the new NICE guidelines for end of life care for adults. We are glad this issue is getting the attention it deserves to ensure that all adults reaching end of life are treated according to their individual wishes to personalise their care and provide the death they wish for, in the place of their choice. As a charity helping over 1,900 families caring for a life threatened or terminally ill child in England, we understand that flexible, individualised care according to the family wishes is crucial and we believe children’s end of life care now needs the same consideration as adults’. Rainbow Trust looks forward to helping shape the draft guidelines for caring for a dying child or young person when they come out for consultation in June 2016.”
