We are thrilled to have been announced as finalists for four prestigious industry awards, recognising our commitment to best practice and innovation in the sector.
Our work has been shortlisted for two Third Sector Awards, Digital Innovation of the Year and the Annual Report Award and recognised in the Charity Times Awards shortlist for Charity of the Year (£1million-£10million) and the HR Management Award.
Up against some of the charity world’s biggest names, Rainbow Trust made it to the final shortlist in the Third Sector Digital Innovation of the Year category for its downloadable online toolkit, developed to enable supporters and staff to create bespoke, on-brand, promotional materials without the need for lengthy design processes. Third Sector also shortlisted our Impact Report 2013/14 which had a digital-first concept for the Annual Report Award. With a budget of just £5,000 our new look digital report has been viewed 10,175 times online, reached just over 35,000 people through Facebook and Twitter and achieved 4,720 film views on YouTube.
Charity Times recognised the charity’s commitment to providing social palliative care for all of the family, whenever and wherever they need it in the Charity of the Year category. Last year we supported over 1,900 families, nearly a third of those who could benefit from our support. Our commitment to our staff and ensuring Rainbow Trust is a great place to work was also recognised by Charity Times, shortlisting Rainbow Trust for the HR Management Award. A focus on increasing productivity and staff development meant that last year we were able to support 187% more families than five years ago.
Heather Wood, CEO of Rainbow Trust said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for these prestigious awards. The whole Rainbow Trust team works hard to ensure that we can continue to raise funds and provide vital care for families. We were all very proud to be finalists, and we can’t wait to hear the judge’s decision on the night.”
Third Sector Award winners will be announced on Thursday 24 September and Charity Times Awards will be given on Wednesday 7 October.
