Rob Delaney today released his book ‘A Heart That Works’, a moving memoir about the death his son Henry aged 2 to a brain tumour. It is an honest, graceful account of unimaginable pain, loss, love and grief.
Rob’s son Henry was diagnosed with a brain tumour when he was one. Our Rainbow Trust Family Support Worker, Fiona, provided support to Rob and his family during Henry’s illness and through the bereavement process.
Ahead of his book launch Rob sent a message to us at Rainbow Trust
“My family is one of so many who have benefited from the help of Rainbow Trust.
“Our Family Support Worker was with us through our son’s cancer treatment, his death and afterward. Fiona helped us, held us, and took exquisite loving care of our son. She was there and she made our lives better.
“It’s a privilege to tell people in my new book about our son and about the wonder that is Rainbow Trust.”
We give immense thanks to Rob for helping to shine a light on the most traumatic experience that a parent can go through and the work we do.
