We are delighted to announce that Rainbow Trust has been chosen as one of five children’s charities to benefit from Travel Weekly’s £50,000 fundraising target as it celebrates its golden anniversary this year.
Alongside The Children’s Trust, Reuben’s Retreat, Stars and Whizz-Kids, Rainbow Trust is thrilled to be working with the UK’s market-leading publication for the travel industry.
Through a range of fundraising initiatives, Travel Weekly is set to hit their target through sponsored sports and challenge events and collections at their flagship events including the Globe Travel Awards and Agent Achievement Awards.
Stuart Parish, Managing Director of Travel Weekly has also chosen Rainbow Trust as his charity of choice to benefit from his most testing challenge to date – aptly named as ‘Must TRI harder’.
Taking on the equivalent of 100 Olympic Triathlons, Stuart will be swimming, running and cycling his way round several sporting events including the Bleinheim Palace Triathlon, the London Triathlon and the Surrey and Fleet half marathons with an aim to raise £3,000 for families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness.
Oonagh Goodman, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Rainbow Trust said:
“We are incredibly grateful that Stuart has taken on such a challenging event in 2019 to help us fund our vital support for families with a seriously ill child.”
