This report seeks to highlight the considerable value that Rainbow Trust provides to families with a terminally ill child as well as the public purse. It illustrates some of the expenditure which the public sector would incur if Rainbow Trust did not intervene.
The emotional and practical support provided by our Family Support Workers not only helps to prevent families falling into avoidable crisis situations, but also helps to relieve pressure from the health and social care system, both now and longer term, at a time of protracted strain.
