Anne joined Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity in 2006 as its first ever Director of Care Services.
Anne trained as a children’s and adult nurse working at both Great Ormond Street and UCLH. Early in her career she recognised the importance of good community social care to help families cope with having a seriously ill child and so trained as a social worker working with children with cancer for many years. This gave her the opportunity to see the difference that supporting the whole family can make and how the support form Rainbow Trust is vital to help families cope
During her tenure at Rainbow Trust Anne has been delighted to see the organisation grow both in size and impact as well as gaining recognition as an expert in its field.
She is honoured to have been invited to become a Life President and looks forward to watching Rainbow Trust continue to grow and thrive.
Anne became a Trustee of Jessie May Children’s Hospice in July 2024 and is also an Academy Councillor of Begbrook Primary Academy.
Anne was appointed MBE in His Majesty the King’s Birthday Honours List 2024 for services to seriously ill children and their families.
